Additionally, they were a Microsoft shop using Mono, so, so they were already familiar with what Mono could do as well as with Xamarin platforms. Xamarin’s Monogame framework would let them use the XNA APIs on all platforms. Hitcents was looking at whether to using Flash to iOS or Xamarin and settled on Xamarin (a good decision in retrospect). By using tools such as Xamarin, they were able to compile natively and get the performance they needed. They knew SVG and JavaScript weren’t going to give them the frame rates they needed for an application.
